How Meridian Channels and the Primo Vascular System Support Holistic Healing
A manual therapeutic approach of overlap, intersection and Synergy
The meridian system on a whole is known as the channel for life force energy, a conduit for Chi, Qi, Prana. Ancient traditions such as Ayurveda, the “science of knowledge”, and Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), are the primary origins researched for the history of these life force channels, arising across the globe simultaneously. The practice of yoga, Thai massage, Shiatsu, Acupressure and Acupuncture (also Breathwork) open these life force energy channels to achieve optimal health and the ability to access direct connection to the ONE/Source, meditation/communication, and ultimately Enlightenment. Traditional Chinese medicine identifies the 12 primary pathways, associated with specific physical and emotional components. Ayurveda wisdom states there are over 72,000 Nadis (life force channels and portals – marma points), giving rise to our life force animated into being. Additional ancient tradition such as Jin Shin Jyutsu from Japan, a hands on energetic healing method addressing the meridian system, pulse reading and additional “safety energy locks” (Nadis), promote healing and heart-centered harmonizing of the entire being. There are many more ancient practices that have correlations yet distinctions, and are known by many names today. Scientific confirmation continues to grow in the fields of energy medicine.
The Primo vascular system, PVS, theory was presented in the 1960’s, and has been scientifically authenticated in 2002. The PVS provides an anatomical basis for the acupuncture meridians. The functions of the PVS are:
- Circulatory functions – transport
- Immune and regenerative functions
- Endocrine functions – neurotransmitter pathways and stem cell affects
- Bioluminescence (Biophotons)
The effects are:
- Increased energy and vitality as well as detoxification
- Emotional stability and harmonization
- Spiritual growth and enlightenment

Dr Sutherland (founder of Cranial Osteopathy) stated this system was, “The fluid within the Fluid – Liquid Light!” PVS vessels are ubiquitous, omnipresent, (being everywhere at the same time). These vessels/channels link tissue functions across all bodily systems. Osteopathic Manual medicine includes Cranial sacral therapy, Brain therapy technique, Manual lymphatic therapy, Visceral manipulation, Fascia and Central nervous system applications and techniques. These are re-emerging traditional “New fields” of medicine. Trained practitioners, from reputable institutions of Osteopathic origins and Traditional Hands on Energy Healing, can have an effect manually on the meridian system, without needles! The current scientific acknowledgement has given us confirmation as to the substratum for the meridian system which has always existed, and we can broaden the scope of understanding and applications manually to the acupuncture meridians.
Acupuncture needle manipulation causes a mechanical stimulation of fibroblasts (connective tissue cells), which play a part in tissue regulation through biochemical, biomechanical and signaling cues (fascia contains these signaling cells). Fibroblasts arise from the mesodermal layer of the extracellular matrix and are responsible for an array of cellular repair and communication. The fascia, lymphatic and vascular connection, along with specific and array of point stimulation, affects these fibroblasts. The torsion field of our body, Scalar Energy, The Biofield, holographically contains “All information” in this unified field. This field becomes structure through the PVS / Meridian system. The practitioners hands (all of our hands) are led by the Field of our Hearts and our Brains. There is a hyper spatial field at the hands, the quantum field access, across space and time. Consciousness and intention are the “Master Switch” of Hands on Healing therapies.
Life force is animated from the source through principles of natural law. We are amazing instruments of consciousness and unique expressions of creation. These subtle energy channels are the conduit between spirit and creation, providing us with the wisdom of calibrating our instrument. Practitioners are the “Healing Engineers” of spirit and science. Resonance is at hand and there is a level of healing for everyone, without judgement, comparison nor competition, simply Resonance. Accessing these channels / meridians and portals, have the potential to provide an open door of re-attunement and increased awareness, whatever our past experiences may have been in this lifetime or otherwise.
